Growing Values, One Tree at a Time: PICPA Leads Tree-Planting in CSU Sanchez Mira Old Site
A hundred trees have been planted today, September 14, 2024, in Nagbaranganan Site as part of our community and social obligation as Certified Public Accountants.
The success of this event was made possible through the collaboration of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) - Cagayan Chapter, in partnership with the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) - CSU Andrews Campus, the Gender and Development Office of CSU Sanchez Mira Campus, and the College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (CBEA) of CSU Sanchez Mira. This achievement was further supported by the firm commitment of our Campus Executive Officer, Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado.
A series of events also took place after the arrival and registration of the participants. That includes;
T - he overview of the activities
R - andom division of participants into smaller groups for the activity
E - ducational workshop on tree planting techniques, care and maintenance
E - xhilarating tree planting under the scorching heat of the sun.
To commemorate today's activity, a photo session also took place.
The day ended well with a lunch tree(t) provided for all participants.
Together, we are building a lasting legacy of sustainability, demonstrating how small actions can lead to significant change. Let's continue to care for our planet, one tree at a time.
