Calayan, Cagayan — Key officials from Cagayan State University Sanchez Mira Campus traveled to the island municipality of Calayan on Monday to visit the CSU Sanchez Mira Calayan Extension Campus and strengthen institutional coordination.
Campus Executive Officer Prof. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado, accompanied by Dr. Jose Sheriff Panelo, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), and Campus Guidance Counselor Sir Dan Earl Barrientos, arrived safely in Calayan via Eagle Ferry, following a morning sea crossing from the mainland.
Upon their arrival, the delegation proceeded to the CSU Calayan Extension Campus to meet faculty, staff, and students as part of their scheduled site engagement.
The visit also included a courtesy meeting with Municipal Mayor Hon. Joseph M. Llopis, where university leaders and local officials discussed ongoing initiatives and potential areas of collaboration for academic and community development on the island.
The trip reflects CSU’s continuing commitment to extend quality education and institutional support to geographically isolated communities within the province.
