To ensure alignment of campus operational plans with institutional performance indicators and SUC Levelling standards, Cagayan State University–Sanchez Mira (CSU-SM) Campus conducted its 2026 Campus Operational Planning and Cascading of Targets at the Conference Hall on February 18.
In his opening message, Campus Executive Officer Prof. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado, PhD, emphasized the importance of clarity and shared direction, stating, “In any institution, confusion weakens momentum, but clarity fuels excellence… when our actions are aligned, triumph is no longer accidental—it becomes intentional.” He underscored that the activity serves as a strategic alignment mechanism rather than a mere compliance requirement.
Planning Officer II Mr. Joevannie D. Cacatian presented the Statement of Purpose and the 2025 SUC Levelling Guidelines, highlighting the integration of institutional performance indicators into office-level operational plans.
Target cascading was conducted across key functional areas. Academic Affairs targets were presented by Prof. Allan O. De la Cruz, PhD; Research and Development priorities by Engr. John Paul D. Galvan; Extension Services initiatives by Mr. Raymond D. Bueno; and Internationalization, Partnership and Resource Mobilization (IPRM) updates by Prof. Shella B. Cacatian, PhD. Administrative Services targets were presented by Atty. Jan Leandro P. Verzon, while financial plans and budget considerations were detailed by Ms. Fely Jane R. Reyes, CPA. The session concluded with Quality Assurance updates from Dr. Ronald L. Cachero, who emphasized compliance with institutional standards, monitoring mechanisms, and continuous improvement processes.
Attended by campus officials, coordinators, deans, and heads of offices , the planning session strengthened cross-functional alignment and reinforced the campus’ commitment to quality management principles, evidence-based planning, and performance excellence.
