The Touchstone’s Frank Allen Anciso, managing editor, and Victor Arda, editorial cartoonist, bested other campus journalists who participated in the 20th Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) on April 2-4 at Quezon Province after placing three top 10 spots in individual categories.

Anciso, a three-time LHEPC qualifier, finished his campus journalism journey with a bang after placing 4th in Column Writing Filipino and 5th in Feature Writing Filipino. He managed to surpass his 9th placement in Column Writing during last year’s LHEPC in Naga City and was able to defend also his two top 10 placements in this year’s Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC) in the same events.

With a total of 13 points, he was adjudged as the 6th Individual Highest Pointer and the only CSUan who made it to the list.
Despite being a 6th placer in this year’s RHEPC, Arda secured a ticket to participate as one of the region’s representatives in Quezon Province and bagged the 6th in Comic Strips Drawing.

Along with the two campus journalists was Ms. Gleann Corpuz, the publication adviser, who was also recognized by the Association of Luzonwide Tertiary Press Advisers as one of the service awardees for her commitment, contributions, and achievements in press conferences in the past five years.

The publication extends its gratitude to the continued support of Campus Executive Officer Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado and the consultants Dr. Florentina G. Reyes, Dr. Allan O. de la Cruz, and Dr. Verlino D. Baddu.
