The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of Cagayan State University–Sanchez Mira (CSU-SM) was recognized as the Top 1 Performing School in Category D (with 30 to 50 examinees and with at least 80% passing percentage) under the Cagayan Chapter and ranked 8th nationwide with a school rating of 86.84% in the recent Board Licensure Examination for Criminologist (BLEC).

The award was presented during the joint awarding ceremony of the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) held on May 3, 2025, at the Cagayan Sports Coliseum in Tuguegarao City.

Dr. Jose Sherief Panelo, Dean of CCJE, credited the recognition to the students’ rigorous preparation and the faculty’s consistent efforts.

“We expected our students to pass due to their intensive training, but ranking Top 8 nationwide was beyond our expectations,” he further said.

The recognition affirms the college's strong performance in national licensure exams and its role in producing competent graduates in the field of criminology.
