Cagayan State University–Sanchez Mira Campus (CSU-SM) reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence as its programs—Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System (BSAIS), Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA), and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT)—underwent the AACCUP Level III Phase II Online Accreditation Survey Revisit from November 12 to 14, 2025.
Held simultaneously with CSU Lasam and CSU Lal-lo, the three-day virtual survey revisit was part of a university-wide initiative to strengthen quality assurance, evaluating key areas of program performance such as instruction, extension, faculty development, and linkages and consortia.
The accreditation team for CSU–Sanchez Mira comprised distinguished evaluators from various state universities and colleges, guided by Dr. Manuel A. Sanchez Jr., AACCUP Coordinator. For the BSAIS program, Dr. Gualberto A. Magdaraog Jr. (BULSU) served as Team Leader, with Dr. Eunice B. Custodio (BULSU) as Lead Accreditor. The BSA program was evaluated by Dr. Sebastian C. Llegado II (CBSUA) as Lead Accreditor. Meanwhile, the BSIT program was jointly assessed by Dr. Charlotte B. Carandang (CAVSU) as Team Leader, Dr. Marlon R. Pereña (CAVSU) as Lead Accreditor, and Dr. Carl B. Monterey (SLUZONSU), who also served as Team Leader during the survey revisit.
Campus leaders, Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado, Campus Executive Officer; Dr. Allan O. De la Cruz, Campus Academic Coordinator; Dr. Marie Claudette M. Calanoga, University Quality Assurance Director; and Dr. Ronald L. Cachero, Quality Assurance Coordinator, actively supported program deans Prof. Rey D. Viloria, Dean of the College of Business Entrepreneurship and Accountancy; Prof. May M. Leaño, Dean of the College of Agriculture; and Dr. Manny S. Alipio, Dean of the College of Information and Computing Sciences, in presenting the accomplishments and ongoing quality improvement initiatives of their respective programs.
