Reaffirming its commitment to quality management, accountability, and continuous improvement in delivering academic and support services, Cagayan State University–Sanchez Mira Campus underwent its External ISO 9001:2015 Recertification Audit on December 17, 2025.

The audit was carried out by TÜV NORD Philippines, Inc., with auditors Mr. Aldvin Lamaroza and Mr. Richard Bacomo present on campus, while Ms. Ma. Luisa Sitchon participated virtually.

In his opening remarks, Campus Executive Officer Prof. Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado emphasized, “This recertification audit is not merely about compliance; it is an opportunity for reflection, learning, and strengthening our systems as we continue to deliver quality service to our stakeholders.”

He underscored the importance of integrity in service delivery and highlighted the university’s guiding principles for excellence—the “three Cs”: consistency in processes, collaboration across offices, and competence in all areas of work.
Meanwhile, the TÜV NORD audit team presented the Audit Plan, outlining the scope, methodology, and schedule of the assessment, and discussed the objectives of the audit, which include verifying the effectiveness of the Quality Management System, confirming actions taken on previous audit findings, and assessing compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and applicable requirements.

During the Audit Proper, concerned offices presented objective evidence and demonstrated process implementation in accordance with the established Quality Management System.

At the closing meeting, the audit team presented its findings, citing minor nonconformities and a few opportunities for improvement. With these results, CSU–Sanchez Mira Campus now awaits the outcome of its ISO 9001:2015 recertification, underscoring its continued commitment to quality assurance and organizational excellence.
