Cagayan State University - Sanchez Mira (CSU-SM) has officially inducted its new Faculty Association officers, with Dr. Freddie Masuli assuming the role of President during the Faculty General Assembly on September 26, 2024, at the campus new gymnasium, where Campus Executive Officer Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado led the induction.
Alongside Dr. Masuli, the newly elected and inducted officers of the Faculty Association include Mr. Chris Ian Rodriguez as 1st Vice President, Dr. Segundo Pacris as 2nd Vice President, Dr. Elizabeth Bautista as Secretary, Mrs. Christie Melflor Aguirre as Treasurer, Mr. Lyndon Guittap as Assistant Treasurer, Ms. Imerinciana Mitam A. Aquino as Auditor, Mrs. Joanna Rose U. Panergo as Public Information Officer, and Dr. Wilfredo Estabillo as Business Manager.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Masuli highlighted the necessity of collaboration among faculty members to advance the university's mission and expressed a commitment to collective progress by stating, "We need to help each other for the betterment of CSU-SM," while Dr. Alegado announced plans to revive the CSU-SM Cooperative to strengthen community ties within the institution.
