CSU-SANCHEZ MIRA HONORS EDUCATION SUPPORT PERSONNEL

In celebration of National Education Support Personnel Day and in accordance with Republic Act No. 12178, Cagayan State University–Sanchez Mira honored its administrative and facilitative workforce today, May 16, recognizing their indispensable role in the smooth and effective operations of the campus.

Carrying the theme “Service with a Heart: Celebrating Excellence and Dedication of CSU–Sanchez Mira’s Education Support Personnel,” the celebration highlighted the often unseen but essential contributions of administrative staff, maintenance personnel, aides, and other support workers.

Campus Executive Officer Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado delivered a message, comparing education to a symphony, with support personnel as the steady hands that “tune the instruments, set the stage, and keep the rhythm steady.”

“You serve not just with competence, but with compassion… You are the quiet force behind every success story of this university…..Your service goes beyond duty—it is a service from the heart,” CEO Alegado further said.

A major highlight of the program was the awarding of Loyalty Awards to employees who have rendered five or more years of continuous service to the university. Honorees included Joan Adolfo, Evalyn Busal, Nelia Ilac, Grace Lucero, Maria Edna-Li Quinan, Fely Jane Reyes, Catalina Talosig, Pacito Cabulisan Jr, Joel Calara, Olever De Fiesta, Christopher Garingan, Arthur Lucero, Delmundo Navarro, Eliseo Perdido, Romel Peregrino, Romel Reyes, Chito Temporal, Michelle Ruth Biado, Geraldine Navarro, Rizel Agno, Cristian Bolus, John Paul Bistayan, Darwin Cabading, Benson Casil, Mark Angelo Duldulao, Ronel Fillemena, Benny Ganotice, Mark Rogue Gamino, Rocky Grande, Arnel Payas, Marjon Sabado, Ambrosio Basilio, Denny Casil, and Arnel Sacbibit, whose long-term commitment has helped shape the operations and culture of the campus.
In addition, several individuals received Outstanding Administrative Personnel Awards for exemplary performance and dedication. Among the awardees were Fely Jane Reyes, Michelle Ruth Biado, Nelia Ilac, Grace Lucero, Romel Peregrino, Delmundo Navarro, Eliseo Perdido, Joel Calata, Pacito Cabulisan Jr., and Cris Bolus, recognized for consistently going above and beyond their regular duties.

In the afternoon, the celebration continued with a lunch and teambuilding activities that provided an opportunity for the personnel to relax, bond, and strengthen teamwork beyond the workplace.

The celebration was organized by the Administrative Personnel Association, led by its President, Atty. Jan Leandro P. Verzon, together with his dedicated officers, whose collective efforts ensured the success of the event.

The university’s observance of National Education Support Personnel Day served as a timely reminder of the dedication, loyalty, and silent heroism of its support workforce.
