CSU SHOWCASES WURI-RECOGNIZED INNOVATIONS AT 1ST AUAP–WURI IMPACT SUMMIT IN THAILAND

BANGKOK, Thailand—Cagayan State University showcased three of its internationally recognized programs at the 1st AUAP–WURI Impact Summit 2026 held on July 9–10.

Representing Cagayan State University at the international summit were Sanchez Mira Campus Executive Officer Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado, Dr. Mark Anthony S. Ibañez, and Ms. Charlyn E. Miguel, who presented the programs before delegates from higher education institutions worldwide.

Dr. Alegado highlighted "CocoPreneur: Coconut-driven Opportunities for Community Ownership and Productive Resource Empowerment through Nurturing Enterprise and Upgrading Resilience," a flagship extension program of Cagayan State Univeristy Sanchez Mira that empowers coconut farming communities through entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable livelihood initiatives.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ibañez presented the Electromobility Research and Development Center (EMRDC): An Innovative Research, Education, and Transformation Hub, showcasing Cagayan State University's pioneering work in sustainable transportation technologies and innovation-driven research.

Ms. Miguel shared "Project MIND (Mental Health Inclusivity and Nurturing Diversity) through the Bloom Program," an initiative that promotes student well-being, inclusivity, and academic success through responsive mental health interventions and student support services.

The three presentations were anchored on Cagayan State University's outstanding performance in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), where the University ranked 221st among 1,253 universities from 87 countries. Project MIND secured 1st place in the Student Support and Engagement category, CocoPreneur placed 3rd in Entrepreneurial Spirit, while CSU's industry-driven initiatives, highlighted by the EMRDC, earned 12th place in Industrial Application.
