CSU WELCOMES CIP AUDITORS FOR 2ND ISO 9001:2015 SURVEILLANCE AUDIT
October 14, 2024 — Today, Cagayan State University (CSU) welcomed the team of auditors from Certification International Philippines (CIP) as they arrived for the second surveillance audit on the university’s compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
The opening meeting, held at the CSU Andrews Claude Convention Center, was led by CSU Officer-in-Charge President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, alongside university officials including Dr. Mariden Cauilan, VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Teresa B. Dimalanta, VP for Admin & Finance, Dr. Junel Guzman, VP for Research, Development & Extension, Dr. Ana Marie Cauilan, VP for Internationalization, Partnership & Resource Mobilization, Campus Executive Officers, other university officials and staff.
In his message, Dr. Ibañez expressed his gratitude to the CIP auditors for their time and commitment, highlighting the importance of audit in the journey of CSU toward excellence. He also took a moment to recognize the legacy of former CSU President, Dr. Urdujah G. Alvarado, who played a significant role in securing CSU’s ISO certification in 2022, and extended his thanks to the university officials, ISO process owners, and teams for their continued dedication.
The CIP audit team, led by Ms. Lyn Cayetano, includes Mr. Edgardo Eleria, Mr. Justo Batoon, and Ms. Liza Rosal will be conducting a thorough evaluation of the management system, covering key areas such as the design, development, and provision of tertiary education, along with various frontline services. This audit will involve several satellite campuses, including Piat, Lal-lo, Lasam, Gonzaga, and Solana, as well as Aparri, Carig, and other offices of CSU Central Administration.
The week-long audit, running from October 14 to 18, 2024, is aimed at ensuring continued compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and assessing the effectiveness of its management system in maintaining the high standards required for certification.
CSU received its Certificate of Registration from CIP President, Mr. Joselito Soler, in recognition of the successful ISO 9001:2015 certification of four of its campuses — Andrews, Aparri, Carig, and Sanchez Mira on December 02, 2022. This certification is valid until December 01, 2025.
