Recognizing the university’s adherence to data privacy standards and its commitment to protecting personal information, Cagayan State University (CSU) has been awarded the National Privacy Commission (NPC) Compliance Seal.
The recognition underscores CSU’s ongoing efforts to ensure responsible data management across its systems, offices, and services, in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. This reinforces the university’s dedication to safeguarding the privacy rights of its students, employees, and other stakeholders.
As part of the compliance process, CSU has registered its Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Data Processing Systems (DPS) with the NPC. This aligns with the “Datos ng Pilipino, Protektado Ko!” campaign, which advocates for responsible personal data handling.
The certificate highlights CSU's robust security measures, data protection policies, and privacy awareness initiatives, fostering trust and transparency within the academic community.
The NPC Compliance Seal granted to CSU is valid until March 12, 2027, marking a key milestone in the university’s efforts to uphold digital security and responsible information management.
