CSU-SM EMPOWERS RESEARCHERS WITH PROPOSAL WRITING WORKSHOP

To strengthen proposal writing skills and align research projects with institutional priorities and societal needs, Cagayan State University-Sanchez Mira (CSU-SM), through the initiative of the Research and Development Office, conducted a training workshop titled "Unlocking Research Potential: Proposal Writing for Budding Researchers, Junior Faculty, and Graduate Students" on December 17-18, 2023.

The two-day workshop was designed to equip participants with the tools and knowledge to craft research proposals. It featured expert-led sessions focusing on essential components of proposal development.

Dr. Shella B. Cacatian shared valuable insights on the fundamentals of crafting research proposals, including identifying research gaps and setting clear objectives. Meanwhile, Dr. Florentina G. Reyes delved into designing research methodologies and conducting statistical analyses to ensure data-driven findings. Engr. Shirly O. Agcaoili also guided participants on effective budgeting techniques and funding strategies, critical for securing research grants.

The said training workshop concluded with hands-on activities where participants worked on presenting their proposals, followed by a mentorship session that further solidified their newly acquired skills.
