𝗖𝗦𝗨-𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘇 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘄 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Cagayan State University–Sanchez Mira Campus (CSU-SM) honored the dedication, leadership, and service of its students, faculty, staff, and partner agencies during the Pammadayaw 2025 recognition program held on July 5, 2025, at the new gymnasium.

The annual recognition event highlights academic excellence, exemplary service, and meaningful partnerships that contribute to the university’s continuing success.


"We gather to recognize those individuals who have led with consistency, dedication, and quiet excellence," said Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado, campus executive officer, in his inspirational message.

Dr. Alegado also paid tribute to the vital role of educators, stating, “To the teachers, you have proven that the school is not just for the students to learn, but it is also an opportunity for them to grow.”

He encouraged students to remain committed to excellence, emphasizing that honors come with responsibility, “The real victory lies in the hard work behind them, just like the sleepless nights and sacrifices. Being honored is the start of the responsibility. May you continue to be guiding lights for the community.”

𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀
CSU-SM extended appreciation to its institutional partners for their vital roles in student development and community engagement. Recognized agencies and stakeholders included:
Department of Education (DepEd)
Department of Agriculture (DA)
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)
Commission on Elections (COMELEC)
Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)
Local Government Units (LGUs)
Bank cooperatives
Hotels and restaurants

𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗲𝘀
Leading this year’s roster of awardees is Rica M. De Asis, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics from the College of Teacher Education (CTEd), who was named Cum Laude and recipient of the Highest Scholastic Standing for Graduating Students and Outstanding Campus Student Journalist award. She is one of 13 Latin Honor recipients set to be recognized during the 47th Academic Convocation on July 7, 2025.
Nine other students were recognized as Outstanding Campus Awardees, including:
Kristine M. Leaño – Outstanding Campus Student Leader and Campus Student Council President SY 2024–2025
Roldan Q. Fernandez – Campus Student Council President (SY 2023–2024)
Jayson A. Inay – Outstanding Campus Student Leader
Alvin A. Cabulagan – Outstanding Campus Student Athlete
Kyla Mae C. Fariñas – Outstanding Campus Student Athlete
Glen Zymond A. Capinlac – Outstanding Student Researcher (Technological Research)
Djoanna Joyce L. Guillen – Outstanding Student Researcher (Social Research)
Avegail R. Bistayan – Outstanding Student Researcher (Social Research)
King Jesther I. Santos – Outstanding ROTC Cadet
In addition, Mark Christopher M. Catenza, a Criminology student, received the Outstanding Campus Service Award. Anthony Bañez of the College of Business, Accountancy, and Entrepreneurship (CBEA) received the award for Highest Scholastic Standing for Undergraduate Students.
𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽
A total of 14 graduating students earned Academic Distinction, while 24 received With Merit awards. Student leaders, including members of the Campus Student Council, were also recognized for their services.
Deans from all eight colleges personally awarded certificates to students who made it to the Dean’s List for the academic year.
Meanwhile, the Graduate School also awarded meritorious graduates.

𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱
Ten outstanding educators were also recognized for their exemplary service across all colleges.
Dr. Verlino D. Baddu, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, was awarded Dean of the Year. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that “Pammadayaw is an honor to acknowledge the talents and values that signify unity and cultural pride of CSU.” CTEd served as the lead college for this year’s event.
The Pammadayaw 2025 served as a celebration not only of academic success but also of the collective effort that drives CSU-SM’s mission of excellence, service, and leadership.
