Cagayan State University-Sanchez Mira (CSU-SM) participated in the university-wide launch of the anti-drug campaign Kaagapay sa mga Aksyong Makatutulong upang Paigtingin ang laban sa Ipinagbabawal na Droga (KAMPI) today, December 2, 2024, at the campus' new gymnasium.
The KAMPI initiative aims to create a safer and healthier community by promoting education, raising awareness, and encouraging mutual support in the fight against substance abuse. This campaign highlights the importance of collective action, underscoring that unity and informed decision-making are essential to building a brighter, drug-free future.
CTEd Dean Verlino D. Baddu, representing CEO Rodel Franciso T. Alegado during the program, emphasized the university’s commitment to raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. “This is an action by Cagayan State University to increase your awareness of the dangers and consequences of drug abuse and to provide accurate information about the different drugs,” Dean Baddu stated.
“KAMPI is not just a campaign; it is a movement—a collective promise to protect each other and to build a future unburdened by the shadows of drugs,” he added.
To amplify the campaign’s impact and creatively engage students, contested activities such as poster making, slogan writing, spoken poetry, and original song composition have been organized to reinforce its core message.
The program was spearheaded by the Office of Student Development and Welfare, in collaboration with the Campus Student Council, and was actively supported by the faculty, staff, and students.
